The Pelvis & Pregnancy
Date: TBD
Location: Santa Barbara Birth Center 2958 State St, Santa Barbara, CA 93105
Sliding Scale: $35-$55
Pregnancy is a juicy, fertile, and sacred portal. And your pelvis is the foundation of it all–—a place for deep healing, intuitive connection, and empowered birthing. In this space you’ll learn how to flow through this portal with grace and strength, and how to trust the instincts already alive within you.
Together, we’ll return to the wisdom of the body. We’ll explore how the pelvis is not a fixed structure, but a living, breathing landscape. One that moves and holds, opens and carries, stretches and returns. One that shape shifts in response to movement and positioning to create more space for baby to descend and rotate effectively. This is a space for breath and movement. For discovering how your body meets gravity, and how you will meet birth. This space offers a supportive, woman-to-woman environment where we can learn from one another through movement, observation, and shared experience.
My approach to birth is rooted in biodynamics, a model that honors the natural, undisturbed process of physiological birth, the innate intelligence of the female body and the rhythmic cycles of life. Biodynamic birth emphasizes minimal intervention, the importance of hormonal flow, and the body’s inherent ability to guide the birthing process when supported with reverence and care. Through gentle, hands-on techniques and embodied practices, we’ll work with these natural dynamics to create space, ease, and alignment.
In this workshop, we’ll explore:
The anatomy of the pelvic diaphragm and how it shapes your health, your power, your presence
Practices for tending to your pelvic health in pregnancy, birth, and recovery
How to identify imbalances and guide yourself toward healing
What it means to have a dynamic, responsive pelvic bowl—beyond just doing kegels
Movement practices that support flexibility, tone, and resilience in your pelvic muscles
Positions for labor and birth that open your pelvis to facilitate comfort and progression
Constructive rest and body-centered awareness to bring the nervous system into balance
Body balancing techniques to create space for the baby and encourage a head down position
Embodied consent with hands-on techniques such as counter-pressure, squeezing & assisted poses

Meet Kylie
Kylie has spent over a decade observing bodies breathe, bend, and break open on the mat–studying vinyasa, yin, therapeutic, prenatal and pelvic floor yoga. She’s learned the simple truth: that strength often looks like softening, and that the breath can carry you through just about anything. Kylie’s background in regenerative food systems and biodynamic farming has deepened her understanding of observation, attunement and the fertile ground needed for life to thrive. Whether tending soil or supporting a birthing woman, she moves in rhythm with nature—slow, responsive, and with reverence. As a birthkeeper, she holds space for women to create coherence between womb and heart. Her presence is gentle yet fierce, grounded yet expansive. She believes birth isn’t just something to survive—it can be a source of deep healing. And that to reclaim your power, sometimes all you need is someone who believes you already have it.
