About
Kylie was raised on an organic avocado ranch along California’s Gaviota Coast, where the rhythms of the land shaped her earliest sense of time and nourishment. Her family grew most of their food—guavas and kiwis over here, and pomegranates, cherimoyas, and peaches over there. She knew when each fruit was in season and ripe for the picking.
She studied Environmental Science and Food Systems at UCLA, and Permaculture Design and Horticulture at Santa Barbara City College. For five years she supported Kiss The Ground, a regenerative agriculture non-profit providing financial, educational and training resources to farmers, ranchers and land stewards. Over the last 10 years, she has worked on local farms including White Buffalo Land Trust, Gaviota Givings, and Sweet Wheel Farms.
Her yoga journey began in high school at a small Bikram studio in Santa Barbara. What began as a call to movement and connection, led to a more subtle awakening of heart and spirit. After completing her 200-hour yoga teacher training, she continued advanced studies at the Santa Barbara Yoga Center. She teaches both privately and in community spaces including Yoga Soup, SHiFT Studio, SB Flow Yoga & Wellness, and Santa Barbara Athletic Club.
As a former dancer, fluid transitions and embodied expression are at the heart of her teaching. Yet it was through deeper inquiry—in reiki, somatic trauma therapy, and meditation—that her work has become less about shape, and more about spirit.
At present, she works for Âmevive, a natural wine grower in the Santa Ynez Valley, where she helps shepherd the vineyard’s 30 sheep and support holistic land practices. Rooted in the rhythms of Biodynamic Agriculture, she is an active member of the Biodynamic Association of Northern California, regularly attending workshops and seasonal gatherings.
Beyond the farm and the yoga mat, she holds space for the sacred rhythms that guide women through brith as a doula and traditional birthkeeper.
On warm, sun-kissed days you might find me in a mountain creek, grazing from my basket at the farmer's market, or sharing a nourishing meal with friends.
